The Mecum Auction in Kissimmee has a lineup of 4,500 classic and collector vehicles, all to be auctioned.
The auction will happen until Jan. 19 at the Osceola Heritage Park.
Sam Murtaugh, the company’s Chief Operating Officer, has been traveling the country with Mecum since 2008, yet he tells Channel 9 that when the show reaches Kissimmee, it’s something special.
This yearly spectacle draws in crowds from all over the country: buyers, vendors, and auto enthusiasts alike. However, as Osceola Heritage Park Robb Parsons tells Channel 9, this isn’t just an auction—it’s a festival.
Still, cars remain the star of the show at this event, and one star in particular shines extra bright—a Porsche 917K, first driven by legendary driver Steve McQueen and later owned by comedian Jerry Seinfeld. It now sits on display at the Mecum Auction.
It’s an event set to bring car collectors and lovers alike on a race to Kissimmee.
