A body washes up on shore at Indian Harbour Beach, according to police

INDIAN HARBOUR BEACH, Fla. — The Indian Harbour Beach Police Department responded to a 911 call referencing a possible body floating in the ocean Saturday morning.

IHBPD arrived at the scene and immediately requested assistance from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit and Satellite Beach Fire Department with their jet skis.

SBFD was able to recover the unidentified white female victim.

Lifesaving efforts were made on the victim before being transported to a local hospital.

Despite the efforts, the victim did not survive.
