OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Osceola County is celebrating a year of success with its pill bottle recycling program.
Residents have collected around 4,800 empty bottles, keeping more than 200 pounds of plastic out of landfills.
The bottles are cleaned and repurposed by the county’s animal services to help distribute medication to pets in need.
