AdventHealth plans ER and more for Apopka's Kelly Park neighborhood

AdventHealth has lined up development for a property it owns in the fast-growing Kelly Park area of Apopka.

The national Altamonte Springs-based $18 billion nonprofit health system has pitched a 12-room freestanding ER and a three-story, mixed-use building at the southeast corner of West Kelly Park Road and Plymouth Sorrento Road on 5.56 undeveloped acres, according to city of Apopka documents.

The trio of properties at 2896, 2902 and 2928 W. Kelly Park Road were bought by AdventHealth in 2023 for $4.5 million.

AdventHealth has 17 freestanding ERs in the state, including more than 10 in Central Florida.

It has additional ERs proposed in Apopka, Sanford, Ocoee, Fruitland Park, Poinciana and South Orlando.
