ORLANDO, Fla. — After a mid-week dip, gas prices across Florida are back to where they were a week ago.

AAA said consumers saw a minor break followed by a price uptick at the pump.
Sunday’s state average of $3.11 for a gallon of regular gas was up 5 cents from Wednesday.

The auto club said it’s a similar pattern that motorists have seen in recent months, but noted this “yoyo” trend could soon change.
That’s because of a recent surge in the cost of oil.

“Oil prices rose to multi-month highs on winter weather woes and U.S. sanctions on Russian petroleum. This could place upward pressure on prices at the pump,” AAA’s Mark Jenkins said.
