9 things to do in Daytona Beach this holiday season

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Daytona Beach will be holding tons of events for the holiday season this year, whether it’s holiday light displays or one of the largest car shows.

Here are some ways you can ring in the most wonderful time of the year:

1. Magic of Lights

The Daytona International Speedway has transformed with the Magic of Lights® Holiday Display, which will be up until Jan. 1.

2. Turkey Run

The Daytona Turkey Run features thousands of cars and vehicles in the infield of the “World Center of Racing,” Daytona International Speedway.

Sunday, Nov. 27 is the last day to catch it.

3. Peabody Auditorium

The Peabody Auditorium will host a trio of holiday shows this season.

Country music star Martina McBride will be performing her “Joy of Christmas” tour on Sunday, Nov. 27 at 8 p.m.

The popular Christmas ballet “The Nutcracker” will be performed by the Volusia Civic Ballet on Dec. 4.

A brand-new musical, “Million Dollar Quartet,” will wrap up the holiday shows on Dec. 5.

4. Stetson Mansion Christmas Spectacular Holiday Home Tour

This tour takes place at the Victorian Gilded Age “Stetson Mansion”, which was built in 1886.

People can view and experience how the mansion is adorned for the holidays with self-guided tours, offered four to six times per day.

Tours will be available through Jan. 21 and reservations are required.

5. Daytona Beach Christmas Boat Parade

This annual holiday tradition will let visitors enjoy lights at night from any riverfront point in Daytona Beach.

You can watch boats parade along the Halifax River and culminate at the Halifax Harbor Marina for a boat show.

This will be taking place on Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. with free viewing.

6. Rose Villa Southern Table & Bar

Located in Ormond Beach, Rose Villa Southern Table and Bar will transform into a Gingerbread Fantasy decorative light display that evokes classic storybook memories.

The restaurant will be decorated until Jan. 5, 2023.

7. Light Up Volusia Tree Lighting

The Ocean Center will host its 12th annual Light up Volusia to kick off the holiday season.

Complete with the tree lighting, this holiday event will be on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

8. Riverfront Esplanade

The brand-new, mile-long Riverfront Esplanade will have holiday activities planned throughout the month of December, including a pet parade, carolers, movies on the lawn, visits from Santa Claus and live performances.

9. Xmas Toy Run with Harley-Davidson

Starting at Bruce Rossmeyer’s Harley-Davidson, a motorcycle ride will be held to buy toys for Toys for Tots.

Riders can also enjoy the Xmas Biker Jam at Saints & Sinners Pub, with live music by Big Engine and Bike Best in Show.

Admission is $20 or free entry if you have a toy.
