BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol they have found the driver they believe fatally struck two road surveyors on Interstate 95. Friday morning.
Troopers say the crash happened on the southbound side near mile marker 172 at about 9:50 a.m.
Troopers say the surveyors were walking on the grassy shoulder when a tractor-trailer went off the roadway, struck a pickup truck, then kept moving and hit the two workers.
The tractor-trailer then fled the scene.
Troopers say they found that vehicle at mile marker 45 in Palm Beach County. The suspect is in custody.
Neither the victims nor the driver have been identified.
