OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Channel 9 has received information of a murder attempt that occurred on Saturday in Osceola County.

Officials say that Luis Rafael Lugo attempted to murder his father with a large kitchen knife after an argument ensued.
Lugo stabbed his father in the neck and back seven times in response to a supposed physical incident that happened between his mother and father the day prior, according to other reported witnesses.

When officers arrived at the scene, they placed Lugo under arrest, and he is currently being held without bond.
