The family of a man killed in 2018 shared their frustration Thursday over the length of the prison sentence the defendant received in the death of their son.
Antonio Anderson on Thursday was adjudicated guilt as an acceessory and sentenced to five years in prison for the 2018 death of D’Chaun Green during a robbery at a Palm Bay apartment complex.
Anderson was originally charged with murder last year, but a hung jury led to his plea deal, which calls for a five-year prison sentence.
Anderson and another man were linked to the crime while Anderson was locked up in a different county on another charge.

A jailhouse call by Anderson led investigators to his home, where they found the murder weapon, the victim’s phone and clothing worn by the shooter.
“It hurts. It’s like a slap in the face,” said Antoine Green, the victim’s father.
The family wanted a retrial, but the state attorney’s office said one wouldn’t make sense.
