VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — BCU has collaborated with The Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, Boeing and Pepsi for the grand opening of Mary’s Market food pantry on campus.

Mary’s Market food pantry received its first food shipment on Monday, marking the day students could open the doors and celebrate the exciting new collaboration.

This collaboration comes at a time when the Bethune-Cookman College community has been pushing for better facilities.

Recent reports show the proactive teamwork mentality that the students have to help improve their campus.

Students and staff could be seen lending a hand to help organize the pantry as the shipment arrived. The food pantry is fully stocked and will be open to assist the college community and those in need.

The renowned college’s Facebook page gives a huge shout-out and a special thank you to the Bethune-Cookman University Religious Life office for bringing Mary’s Market to life.

Mary’s Market will be located in the newly renovated General Studies building.
