Orlando Magic will recognize Black History Month during tonight’s game

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando Magic will include a Black History Month in-game celebration at the Magic vs. Hawks matchup, followed by month-long celebrations like the Black Business Summit, Magic on the Yard Night and a unique faith and family night.

The Magic will recognize the accomplishments and contributions of African Americans in the Central Florida community by spotlighting a minority-owned business.

It will also acknowledge the Magic Diversity Game Changer, Latrice Steward and Hometown Hero, Chief Deputy Denise Demps.

The in-game celebration at the Magic vs. Hawks matchup is one of many Black History Month events the Orlando Magic will participate in during the month-long celebration.

The Black Business Summit will be held on the 20th, celebrating the resilience, innovation and leadership within the Black business community.

Magic on the Yard Night will be fun for family and friends during the Magic vs. Grizzlies matchup on the 21st. This event honors historically Black colleges, universities (HBCUs), and the Divine Nine Greek organizations.

The events will close with Faith and Family Night during the halftime show of the Magic vs. Wizards matchup. Featuring performances you will not want to miss during and after the game.
