Alex Walker is an Emmy Award-winning Sports Anchor for Channel 9. Alex joined the WFTV Sports team after spending four years covering the Kentucky Wildcats, horse racing and the SEC for WKYT in Lexington, Kentucky. He also spent time with WITN in Greenville, North Carolina, and KCAU in Sioux City, Iowa, as a Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter. During his time in Lexington, Alex won an Emmy with his WKYT Sports Department for a behind-the-scenes special called “Six Days ‘til Saturday” that featured the Kentucky football program. Alex is a proud graduate of Penn State University’s Schreyer Honors College and is excited to cover all that Central Florida and the Sunshine State has to offer.
