Disturbance in Southern Gulf increases chance of organization, but no threat to Florida

A low-pressure system over the Yucatan Peninsula is producing a disorganized cluster of thunderstorms, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Some development of the system is possible over the next two days after moving over the far southwestern Gulf of Mexico.

Regardless of development, the organization is expected to bring heavy rain over portions of Southern Mexico, Belize and Guatemala over the next couple of days.

The storm brings no threat to Florida.
