Meet the Squeeze: Orlando’s new Major League Pickleball team

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Major League Pickleball has 24 teams and when the league expanded from eight teams to 24 in the last 16 months, that expansion included the Orlando Squeeze.

They are Orlando’s newest professional sports franchise.

The Squeeze are playing in a big tournament this weekend near Daytona Beach with all 24 teams in Major League Pickleball. $700,000 in prize money is up for grabs when the tournament begins on Thursday morning.

This tournament is one of six stops this year for the league with a total purse of $5 million up for grabs throughout the season.
