According to the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy’s Sharktivity app, the shark was spotted at around 1 p.m. EDT, the TV station reported.

Multiple shark sightings have been reported near Cape Cod so far this summer, including the June 1 spotting of three great whites feeding on a dead whale off Nantucket, MassLive.com reported.

Meanwhile, beachgoers were horrified to witness a great shark attack and kill a seal in May, the news outlet reported, citing video shared by the Nantucket Current. Four more sightings were reported June 5.

Beaches on the Cape are typically closed for an hour following a shark sighting, according to WFXT.
