Universal trademarks may shed light on future theme park rides

A series of trademarks filed by a Universal Parks & Resorts-related entity and film giant DreamWorks Animation may give a peek at what’s planned for Orlando’s latest theme park, Epic Universe.

The components of Epic Universe, which Universal Orlando plans to open in 2025, still are primarily a mystery with the exception of Super Nintendo World — a land themed after the popular video game properties. The estimated $1 billion-plus theme park is under construction on hundreds of acres of land off Universal Boulevard.
