Sunny and hot Friday, highs in the 90s expected for weekend

ORLANDO, Fla. — The heat is on in Central Florida.

Our area will be sunny and hot on Friday and the heat will continue into the middle of next week.

The high temperature in Orlando should reach around 91 degrees Friday afternoon.

Our area will see highs in the 90s over the next five days.

Forecast models show the next break from the heat will not come until Wednesday.

Rain chances will also stay low until we see a slight chance for rain and showers on Tuesday.

The hot and dry conditions mixed with the wind will also keep our fire threat high for the foreseeable future.
