ORLANDO, Fla. — After two years of COVID-19 lockdowns and social distancing, the City of Orlando is ready to celebrate Juneteenth with a huge celebration at Lake Lorna Doone Park.
This is the city’s inaugural Juneteenth Celebration Festival and plans to make this an annual tradition.

The theme for Saturday’s celebration was “Freedom is not free: Honoring the Past - Pressing Towards the Future.”
Festivities included live music, a kid’s zone, food vendors, and a live presentation of the “Fannie Lou Hamer” story.
The festival starts at noon and runs until 5 p.m.
