Man, woman electrocuted in Orange County were twin siblings

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The man and woman who died after being electrocuted by a downed powerline in Orange County during Hurricane Nicole were twin siblings, their father told Channel 9.

Their father identified the twins as Khalil and Kiana Sapp.

Deputies said Khalil died after he got out of his car and made contact with a downed power line. Kiana was taken to the hospital and later died.

Officials said there was also a baby in the back seat of the car when it happened, in the Conway area near Bayfront Parkway and Pershing Avenue.

Neighbor Kimberly Neff said it took a while for first responders to get to the twins because the winds were so strong, and it was a challenge to get to the pole and turn the electricity off.
