Orange County schools to offer free meals to students over summer break

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County Public Schools is making sure that no kids go hungry over summer break.

OCPS Food and Nutrition Services is once again providing free breakfast and lunch to students over the summer break.

Children 18 years and younger can pick up meals at one of 224 locations throughout Orange County at no charge.

Each meal was taste-tested, approved by students and contains fresh fruit, vegetables, an entrée, and milk.

Officials said the program is aimed at helping children stay healthy and fed during the summer months.

Meals will be available at schools with summer programs and summer camps, all six Orange County Library System branches, and several churches.
