New Mexican restaurant coming to Walt Disney World in 2023

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — An iconic fine-dining Mexican restaurant this week announced plans to bring its elevated fiesta to Walt Disney World in 2023.

Rosa Mexicano said it plans to open its first Orlando-area location at Swan and Dolphin next year, replacing Fresh Mediterranean Market in the Dolphin. Fresh will remain open until further notice, a news release states.

“Rosa Mexicano’s arrival to Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is a truly exciting moment of our expansion. The opening reflects our founding chef Josefina Howard’s vision of introducing Mexican culinary traditions and authentic Mexican heritage to the world,” Jim Dunn, CEO of Rosa Mexicano, said in the news release. “Once the restaurant opens, we will offer the Orlando market a fresh take on Mexican food, authentic Mexican heritage, culinary techniques and lively dining.”

The 5,500 square-foot restaurant will seat about 300 guests and also feature a 30-person bar, and a private dining room for 50, according to a news release.

The menu will showcase a contemporary infection of authentic Mexican cuisine, beloved classics, innovative and sophisticated dishes and more.

A Rosa Mexicano tasting station will be set up for the Swan and Dolphin Wood & Wine Classic Nov. 11 and 12.

Rosa Mexicano has locations in New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Maryland, with more on the way.
