Weather update:

After a day of record heat, isolated storms will pass over some Central Florida neighborhoods.

While not everyone will get the rain, a few spots will get a quick downpour and lightning from dinnertime through bedtime.

Any showers will fizzle out after midnight.

Original report:

So far, some neighborhoods have recorded heat today as temperatures soar back to the 90s.

An isolated storm is possible with the heat late afternoon or early evening.

Meteorologist George Waldenberger said we could use any rain that falls, but few people will actually get it.

Overnight and into Sunday morning will generally be quiet, and areas of fog are possible.

Sunday will see the 90s, and records are possible with a stray shower or storm toward the end of the day.

We’ll get a short break from the heat by Wednesday or Thursday of next week, but the 90s return next weekend.
