ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Hundreds of women die each year due to pregnancy-related complications in the U.S., but that’s not how most pregnant women are dying.

Murder is the No. 1 cause of death for women, and in the past two weeks, two pregnant teenagers were killed in Central Florida.

Reports show the homicides are directly connected to domestic violence with their partners and gun use.

In a 10-year span, 66% of the pregnant women killed across the country were fatally shot.
