ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle Sunday night in east Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers responded to the area of 10th Street and Belvedere Road in Bithlo around 7:30 p.m.

At the scene, they determined that the driver who struck the pedestrian left the crash site following the collision.
FHP said the pedestrian was transported to AdventHealth East Orlando hospital but did not survive.

Investigators did not release his name or his age.
Troopers said they had no descriptions of the driver or the vehicle involved in the crash.
FHP has asked anyone with possible tips about this incident to contact law enforcement.
