We should expect a very similar weather pattern for Sunday, according to meteorologist George Waldenberger.

Severe Weather Center 9 is monitoring the tropics and a disorganized cluster of storms near the Dominican Republic, with a 80% chance of formation into a tropical or subtropical system by the middle of next week.

Waldenberger said that either way, rough surf, hazardous seas and beach erosion will be a threat next week.

Coastal flooding and pockets of heavy rain may also be an issue depending on where the system tracks.

Heavy rain inland and flooding will also be a potential depending on the system’s track and how long it lingers nearby, which could be multiple days next week as a slowly moving system.
