The roller coaster will use a virtual queue, similar to other popular attractions across Disney Parks such as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Disney said in a blog post.

Guests with a valid ticket or pass and theme park reservation to Magic Kingdom will be able to join the virtual queue using the My Disney Experience app. No standby queue will be available.

Individual Lightning Lane for TRON will also be available through the app.

Disney will also introduce a new double-sided and digitized locker system for guests to store bags and loose items while riding their Lightcycle. The complimentary lockers at the attraction can be accessed with a MagicBand, MagicBand+, park ticket or a card provided by Disney.

The Lightcycles vehicles will also be equipped with a small compartment to hold cellphones, glasses or wallets, Disney said.

The ride, inspired by the 1982 landmark film “TRON” and its 2010 sequel “TRON: Legacy,” will be the fastest roller coaster at any Disney theme park in the world, Disney said.

The ride’s story picks up after “TRON: Legacy.” Guests will enter a second gateway into a digital realm called The Grid opened by “TRON” character Sam Flynn. When guests enter the queue, they will feel as if they are digitized and transported to the Grid for a special Lightcycle race.
