Original story:
State troopers are looking for the driver who struck and killed a pedestrian in Orange County early Wednesday.
The deadly crash has been impacting traffic along a stretch of John Young Parkway in the area of Oak Ridge Road since around 4:30 a.m.
Florida Highway Patrol said a vehicle driving northbound on the center lane of JYP struck a man walking on the roadway.
Investigators said the man was not using a crosswalk and entered into the direct path of the oncoming vehicle.
After the collision, troopers said the man behind the wheel of the sedan drove off from the crash scene.
But investigators said a witness captured a photo of the suspected driver and vehicle involved in the crash.
FHP wants the public to see the images in an effort to collect tips about the hit-and-run driver.
The car is described as a 2024-2025 dark gray Kia K5 whose driver is believed to be an adult male.
Investigators also said the car should have significant damage to its front bumper and to its undercarriage.
The man who was struck and killed died at the crash scene, and troopers said the medical examiner is working to identify him.
FHP is asking anyone with information about this deadly crash to dial the agency at *347 or call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
