The district consulted with the Florida Department of Health for Orange County before making the decision to cancel the game.

In addition to the players on the team, a coach, student athletic trainers, and managers all had to be quarantined as well.

The district says they’ve reached out to the parents of students who have been identified as coming into contact with one of the positive cases.

They’ll also be given a letter from the state Department of Health after they complete contact tracing.

The district says the larger student body as a whole wasn’t impacted.
